SoftSight
The FieldworkOS Open Network

Know exactly who sourced your data.

Online sample is only as good as the supplier behind it, and most channels hide that supplier inside an anonymous pool.

The Open Network connects you to named, performance-verified suppliers, so you can reach hard audiences, compare on real quality, and stand behind every number you report.

No pool. No anonymous supply. No paid rankings. Every supplier is named, verified, and accountable to a record you can see.

The problem

You can only defend data you can see behind.

Whatever you do with research, whether you win a pitch, size a market, back an investment or publish a finding, you eventually have to defend it. And the weakest link is almost always the same: the sample. Where did it come from? Who sourced it? How good is that supplier, actually?

So you make a call you can't fully stand behind, and hope it holds up when someone asks.

Most channels can’t answer.

Marketplaces blend supply into an anonymous pool, so the quality behind your study is a black box. Cold outreach means vetting strangers on a deadline. And traditional vetting, meaning questionnaires and references, is self-reported, static, and identical for every supplier who fills it out.

You can’t defend a number when you don’t know who’s behind it.

What the Open Network is

Named, performance-verified suppliers. One place, one email.

The Open Network connects you to sample suppliers as named parties, each carrying a performance record earned across real studies. You always know who you're buying from. You compare suppliers on what their panels actually did rather than on what a deck claims, and you reach vetted supply for the audiences your own contacts can't cover.

It runs on FieldworkOS, the platform for sending RFQs, comparing quotes, agreeing rates, monitoring live studies and reconciling completes. But you don't adopt new software to use it: the network runs over email, and suppliers work the way they already do.

Verified supply and a clean audit trail, without an implementation project.

Who it's for

Built for anyone who has to trust the data.

The specifics differ by seat. The requirement does not: sample you can name a source for, from a supplier whose performance you can check before you buy and cite after you report.

Research agencies

Close hard studies without a supplier scramble, coordinate many suppliers on one field, and prove quality to your clients with a record instead of a promise.

How we work with you

Marketing teams

Get reliable consumer sample for brand, ad and concept testing fast, and know the quality behind every wave.

How we work with you

Corporate insights teams

Reach vetted supply for internal decisions without building a fieldwork operation to manage it.

How we work with you

Universities and academic researchers

Field with suppliers whose quality is documented and defensible, so your methodology holds up in review.

PE and VC funds

Run diligence and market research on a deal clock, with sample you can point to when the findings are challenged.

Management consultancies

What you get

What the network gives you.

Five outcomes, all of them downstream of one thing: the supplier behind your sample has a name and a record, at the moment you choose and at the moment you have to explain the choice.

    Lowest CPI

Ranked by observed performance, never by price and never by payment. The cheapest quote here sits last because its record is still building, and you are told so rather than left to find out in field.

Reach the audiences you couldn't.

When a quota stalls on a low-incidence or niche cell, extend the RFQ to the network and reach named suppliers with proven feasibility in exactly that audience. Discovery stops depending on who you happen to know.

Feasibility, not a scramble

Compare on evidence, not on a pitch.

Every supplier carries a live performance record covering IR accuracy, quality flags, delivery reliability, billing accuracy and responsiveness, benchmarked within bands of similar difficulty. You judge suppliers on proof, and a hard study is never scored against an easy one.

Proof beside every quote

Trust the ranking, because no one pays for it.

Suppliers can’t buy placement. There are no sponsored slots and no paid rankings, and standing is earned by observed performance only. The supplier at the top of your comparison is the best-performing option for your study, not the best-paying.

Best performer, not best payer

See the cause, not “the sample.”

When something goes wrong in field, the platform pins it to its source, whether that is a screener question, a traffic source or a broken redirect, so you fix the real problem and protect the study without pausing what works.

One supplier pauses, the study continues

Reconcile in minutes, not days.

Completes match across every source automatically, discrepancies flag with cause, and invoices generate line by line from respondent-level rates against the agreed schedule. Reconciliation that used to take days takes minutes.

Every excluded ID explained

How verification works

Why the records are worth trusting.

The performance record is observational. As studies field through the platform, each supplier's metrics accrue automatically: no self-reported forms, no audits to stage.

  • IR accuracy

How closely a supplier's in-field incidence matched the incidence they quoted you

    Every fielded study

  • Term-rate health

Termination rate against benchmarks for studies of similar difficulty, with concentration by term reason

    Live monitoring

  • Quality flags

Duplicate fingerprints, geo and device mismatches, speeding and pattern anomalies per thousand entrants

    Live monitoring

  • Delivery reliability

Completes delivered against committed volume and dates, including soft-launch punctuality

    Quota tracking

  • Billing accuracy

Agreement between the rate schedule both parties signed and the final line-by-line reconciliation

    Reconciliation

  • Responsiveness

Time from RFQ to quote, and from issue flag to resolution

    Workflow timestamps

Three rules keep the records fair.

They are published openly rather than held as discretion, so you can check how a standing was reached instead of taking the number on trust.

Minimum volume

No standing is shown until enough studies have fielded to mean something. Until then a profile reads “building record”, and you are told so plainly.

Context weighting

Suppliers are only compared within bands of similar study difficulty, so a specialist healthcare panel is neither flattered nor punished by comparison with general-population trackers.

Recency

Recent performance outweighs old, so a record reflects how a supplier performs now. You are never shown an old record dressed as a current one.

Honest in both directions. The record a supplier sees is the exact record you see, input by input, which makes it a system that can’t tell two audiences two different stories. Suppliers can dispute an input with evidence, and confirmed platform errors are corrected, so the records stay accurate for you as well as fair to them. The standing methodology is published in full, and independent third-party audit of it is our stated intention as network volume matures.

Confidentiality

Your studies and rates stay yours.

The same rules that protect suppliers' commercial terms protect yours. Suppliers see the RFQs you send them and nothing else about your book of work.

What you see on a supplier profile

  • Performance standing and trend built from observed fieldwork, or “building record” where the data is not yet statistically meaningful
  • Aggregate metrics: IR accuracy, term-rate health, quality flags, delivery reliability, billing accuracy, responsiveness
  • Difficulty breadth: which audience and incidence bands the supplier has actually proven on
  • Declared capabilities and certifications, plus the volume context behind every standing

What stays confidential, both ways

  • The rates you agree with a supplier, never exposed to other buyers or suppliers in identifiable form
  • Your study-level details, clients and audiences, never disclosed to suppliers beyond the RFQs you send them
  • A supplier's other client relationships: you see their performance, not their book of business
  • Any single study's metrics in isolation, since records are aggregate by design

On rate data, precisely, because a sharp procurement team will ask. Anonymised, aggregated rate benchmarks (typical ranges for an audience, geography and period, attributable to no one) give you market context when you negotiate. Your own negotiated rates are never visible to any other party and never appear in any form attributable to you, your suppliers or your studies. Individual rates inform no one; the anonymous shape of the market informs everyone. If your team wants the aggregation mechanics in detail, we will walk through them before you commit.

SoftSight does not sell, share or license client or supplier data. Data is processed in accordance with GDPR, and our data-processing agreement, security overview, SLA terms and compliance documentation are available to your legal and procurement teams on request. See Security and Privacy.

How a study runs

From RFQ to reconciliation, without leaving your inbox.

Nothing about your process forks. Network suppliers receive the same structured RFQ, onboard through the same gate, and field under the same monitoring and per-supplier thresholds as your own.

01

Send one RFQ

Audience, quotas, LOI, expected IR, timeline, volume. It reaches every matched supplier, including network suppliers when you want the reach.

02

Compare quotes in one view

Suppliers reply in any format; the platform parses CPI, feasibility and terms into a comparison you can rank at a glance, with each supplier's standing beside their quote.

03

Agree rates

Directly with each supplier, down to the quota cell where the study calls for it. The schedule locks as the reference for reconciliation.

04

Launch verified

Redirects captured and tested with batch test IDs before go-live, so launch morning holds no surprises.

05

Monitor live

Soft launch against early-signal targets, full traffic when the numbers clear, every issue attributed to its cause in real time.

06

Reconcile and pay

Completes matched across sources in minutes, discrepancies flagged with cause, every excluded ID explained.

The network today

The founding phase, stated plainly.

We would rather tell you the real state than have you discover it on a call. The directory grows into the promise; it does not start there.

You should know what you are joining

The supplier cohort is deliberately small and hand-picked, most profiles show “building record” while statistical minimums accrue, and matching is done by our team, people who know the suppliers personally, rather than by an algorithm. Standings publish as suppliers cross the volume threshold, not before.

We think the founding phase is the best time to use the network, not a reason to wait. Hand-matched sourcing from a curated cohort is concierge service a mature directory cannot offer, founding clients shape which suppliers we recruit next, and every study you run now deepens the records that make the mature network trustworthy.

Probably not us, yet

  • All your sample comes from one panel you have no intention of leaving
  • Fieldwork is offline-first, such as CATI, in-person or diary studies
  • You want a marketplace to choose and price suppliers on your behalf
  • You need a firm to design the study and write the report, not the infrastructure underneath it
Before you commit

The questions buyers ask first.

Don't see yours? Bring it to the walkthrough. We would rather answer it against your own study than in the abstract.

  • How is this different from a sample marketplace?

A marketplace blends supply into an anonymous pool. The Open Network keeps every supplier named and performance-verified, so you always know who is behind your data and can compare suppliers on real quality.

  • Do I need a fieldwork team to use it?

No. The network runs over email and the platform handles the structure: RFQ comparison, rate schedules, live monitoring, reconciliation. Occasional buyers and full fieldwork teams both use it.

  • Can supplier rankings be influenced by payment?

No. Suppliers can't pay for placement or ranking. Standing is earned by observed performance, so a top-ranked supplier is your best-performing option, not the best-paying.

  • Is the sample quality actually verified, or self-reported?

Verified. Records are built from what each supplier's panel did across real fielded studies, benchmarked against studies of similar difficulty, not from a questionnaire they filled out.

  • Can I keep using my existing suppliers?

Yes. Run your current suppliers through the platform and add network suppliers only when you need the reach, for example when a quota stalls mid-field.

Evaluating FieldworkOS

Book a thirty-minute walkthrough

We will show you the network on a real study shape: reaching suppliers, comparing on performance, monitoring live, reconciling. No slideware, just the workflow. Bring your hardest recent study, the audience nobody could fill, and we will run it through the platform with network reach included.

Use it on your next hard study

Ask your account contact about founding-phase network sourcing. Matching is hands-on during this phase, which is the best version of it: we will put the RFQ in front of suppliers we know personally, and tell you honestly which ones have a record and which are still building one.

Or write to network@softsight.io, or to the person who shared this with you. You can also read how the network works or what we tell suppliers.
